Prayer is the foundation upon which Unity was established and is at the heart of every aspect of our ministry. We are here to pray with you and support you in knowing and expressing your Christ Nature.
Confidential Prayer Requests – those requesting prayer support may submit requests in the following ways:
~ In person, one-on-one prayer – prayer chaplains are available on Sundays after our morning celebration service, as well as after any special service, for one-on-one confidential prayer.
~ Written requests – a prayer box is located on the buffet table just outside of the sanctuary, along with prayer request forms. First names only (no last name or prayer circumstances) are forwarded to our Silent Prayer Team. These requests will be held in prayer for two weeks and then sent to Silent Unity to be held in prayer for another thirty days.
~ Prayer calls – call 231-938-9587, ext. 3 for a call of prayer support. One of our prayer chaplains will be happy to return your call. You may also contact Silent Unity at 816-969-2000 where prayer associates are available 24 hours a day to pray with you.
Prayer Chaplain Program
‘Prayer is exhaling the spirit of man and inhaling the spirit of God.’ ~ Edwin Keith
This is the essence of what it means to be a prayer chaplain. Through their training, prayer chaplains:
~ Deepen their spirituality and connection with God
~ Experience personal and spiritual transformation
~ Learn how to stand in prayerful support of our spiritual community
In addition to one-on-one prayer on Sundays, prayer chaplains offer monthly calls of prayer support to our congregation. Members of the team commit to one year of service, with recommitment and induction of new chaplains taking place each summer. Informational meetings for those interested in the program are held in May of each year. Click here for a complete listing of the 2020 training schedule.
For more information about any of our prayer teams, please email Rev. Eileen Stulak, or call the church office at 231-938-9587.
